Spearmint is the common mint of Western Europe that grows wild in gardens, wild meadows and forest edges.
It has been known since the dawn of time and was cultivated by various civilisations in the Mediterranean region.
Mentha spicata is the richest mint in carvone compared to mentha piperata which has a high menthol content.
Its scent is very sweet and not very mentholated.
