Borage is a precious oil, renowned for its soothing, calming and repairing effects, and is perfect for slowing down the ageing of the skin. Ideal for fragile, sensitive skin. It also helps to combat stretch marks, so it's up to you to combine it with your favourite essential oil to boost its virtues!

For food use, in very small quantities, no more than one spoonful a day (contraindicated for pregnant and breast-feeding women and children under 12).

Virgin borage oil is a very sensitive oil that should be carefully kept away from light to prevent oxidation.

Composition

    • linoleic acid (omega 6): 30 to 48 %, gamma-linolenic acid (omega 6): 17 to 27, oleic acid (omega 9): 12 to 22 %, palmitic acid: 9 to 14 %, stearic acid: 2 to 6, erucic acid (omega 9): ≤ 5 %.

Uses

  • On the skin, very fluid, it penetrates very well and does not leave an oily sensation.
  • Edible: very mild
